Consider Him
‘Jesus knows you. Do you want to know Him?’
Our latest 365 devotional gives the perfect structure to do just that: to spend a year listening, learning and leaning on Jesus. Catherine Campbell, author of God Isn’t Finished with You Yet and God Knows Your Name now brings us this book to guide you through the life and ministry of Jesus and root yourself in the knowledge of the ‘author and perfecter of our faith’.
In this warm and personal devotional, Campbell facilitates understanding, prompts reflection and provokes action, challenging her reader to be transformed by the Word and to live differently in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. With her usual style, Campbell speaks to the new, renewed and long-term Christian with a candid understanding of people in the joys and struggles of their faith. This devotional is for everyone who wants to get to know and build a relationship with Jesus.

Rumours
Marsh Moyle’s thoughtful new book Rumours of a Better Country inspires a deep questioning of meaning and community amid our hyper-individualist culture. Moyle premises his book on a memory of Czechoslovakia during the Cold War when he and his wife Tuula organised book translation and distribution behind the Iron Curtain. In a beautifully atmospheric retelling of a conversation between himself and three men from Palestine in a pub, Moyle poses the poignant questions:
But how do we know what makes a better country? What does it mean to live together well?
What would it take to be a thriving community of unique people who get along well – communities of trust, where difference does not threaten, and power is not abused? What would make people safe to be vulnerable enough to have deep and meaningful relationships?
‘These are the questions for our age’ writes Moyle.
In this book, Moyle posits his reader in the ‘Café of Now and Not Yet’ and guides them to examine such questions. Moyle navigates us through a series of encounters in which he thoughtfully provokes our understanding of goodness and why it matters. Through Moyle’s informed perspective and unique narrative style, he immerses his reader in ancient wisdom, biblical truths and explorations of modern society. To read Rumours of a Better Country is to be captivated, challenged, and equipped to engage in today’s culture with a fresh hunger for a better way of living. This is a perfect book to read with a friend who doesn't know Jesus, and as a beautifully completed hardback, it could make for a thoughtful gift.

Answering the Psalmist's Perplexity
We were delighted to recently announce a new co-editor with D. A. Carson for the New Studies in Biblical Theology - and this is the first volume that Ben Gladd has had an editorial hand in. James Hely Hutchinson has penned a wide-ranging and thoughtful study of covenantal theology in the Psalter - 'Answering the Psalmist's Perplexity'.
Carson and Gladd write that this volume is:
"Creative, thoughtful, and attuned to the interconnectedness of Scripture... Pastors preaching on the Psalms will glean from Hutchinson's work, and students and scholars will reap a bountiful harvest."
