Editorial Team


Thomas Creedy, Publishing Director
Tom has been a fan of IVP since being a CU Leader at school and university, and heads up our publishing and editorial teams, with a particular passion for academic and series publishing. With degrees in theology and mission he's worked in marketing and communications, theological consultancy, and is a regular blogger. Tom is married to Amy and they live in Oxford with their three young children.


Sydney Tooth, Editor
Sydney is an Editor for IVP, focussing particularly on the Apollos imprint and overseeing various series. She has a PhD in New Testament from the University of Edinburgh. Alongside her work at IVP, Sydney teaches New Testament at Westminster Theological Centre and is the author of Suddenness and Signs (Mohr Siebeck, 2024). She also cohosts The Two Cities podcast. Sydney is married to Doug and they live in North London with their young children.


Elizabeth Sond, Editor
Elizabeth is one of IVP’s editors and is excited about Christian books which strengthen and encourage readers in their faith. After completing an English degree, Elizabeth interned with IVP and worked in academic publishing. In her spare time, she enjoys writing fiction, reading, and long walks in the woods.


Rochelle Owusu-Antwi, Marketing Campaigns Manager
Rochelle is the Marketing Campaigns Manager with a specialist focus on IVP and Apollos titles. She joined the team after working in Christian organisations in both the UK and Ghana, leading communications and marketing initiatives following her training as a journalist. Outside of work, Rochelle is a keen traveller and enjoys film and theatre. She lives in London with her husband Adoniram and their child.
Publishing Board
The IVP Publishing Board gives editorial and theological guidance and accountability to the editorial team, including ensuring that IVP continues to publish faithfully to the truths expressed in our Basis of Faith.


Prof Sue Vaux Halliday (Chair)
Sue Vaux Halliday was formerly a Professor of Marketing at the University of Hertfordshire. She publishes in a range of journals including Marketing Theory the European Journal of Marketing, and The Journal of Management Inquiry.


Rachel Owusu-Ankomah
Rachel is Head of Student Ministries at CMF (The Christian Medical Fellowship), where she sets vision and direction, oversees the development of student leadership, and networks with like-minded organisations like UCCF and ICMDA.


Mark Finnie
Mark has been immersed in publishing for over thirty years - as Sales and Marketing Manager at IVP, Editorial Manager at Paternoster, Publisher at Authentic Media and Partnership Director at Biblica.


Tom Roberts
Tom is Event Coordinator for the Word Alive conference, and editor of Bethinking.org apologetics website from UCCF.


Ed Shaw
Ed Shaw is the bestselling, award-winning author of The Intimacy Deficit, The Plausibility Problem and Purposeful Sexuality. He is Pastor of Emmanuel City Church, Bristol, and part of the editorial team at www.livingout.org.


Dr Kristi Mair
Kristi lectures in philosophy, ethics and apologetics at Oak Hill College. She holds degrees in Philosophy and Theology (BA), Philosophy and Religion and Ethics (MA), and a PhD in philosophical theology.
In 2019, Kristi published her first book, MORE>Truth. She also co-hosts the PEP Talk podcast with Dr Andy Bannister.
Our Senior Management


Chris Watkins, Production Director
Chris heads the Production and House Editorial departments, ensuring books are delivered on time and budget and to the best possible standard. He deals extensively with external suppliers and oversees the use and implementation of Production systems.


Sam Richardson, CEO
Sam leads the staff team and works closely with the trustees. Sam's background before joining SPCK in 2014 was in commercial publishing. He won Young Independent Publisher of the Year in 2016, lives in Cambridgeshire with his wife and their three boys, and supports Crystal Palace.


Mark Read, Art Director
Mark designs and art directs our book covers, previously working at a commercial publisher with 14 years experience designing the covers of bestsellers. Mark is married with three young children, lives in Kent, and consumes too much popcorn.


Wendy Grisham, Deputy CEO & Group Publishing Director
Wendy serves as Group Publishing Director at SPCK, having previously worked at Alpha, Spring Harvest, and in commercial publishing. Wendy looks after the IVP team and key relationships.
