At the end of the year, it's become customary for folk to share their Top Ten Titles of the year. We asked our editorial team what their Top Ten would be - we made them pick 5 IVP/Apollos books, and 5 that we didn't publish! Phil Duce is a Senior Commissioning Editor here at IVP, focusing particularly on our Apollos academic titles (which for this blog post's purposes means we let him have some extra slots!), and these are his Top Fifteen Books of 2020, in no particular order...
Matthew Barrett, Canon, Covenant and Christology (NSBT)
Calum MacKellar, Christianity and the New Eugenics
Tony Lane, Sin and Grace
Wayne Grudem, Systematic Theology 2nd edn
David Peterson, Hebrews (TNTC) [tied with V. Philips Long, 1 and 2 Samuel (TOTC)]
Christian/theology:
Matthew Barrett, None Greater (Baker)
Fred Zaspel, Warfield on the Christian Life (Crossway)
C. S. Lewis, The Great Divorce (Collins)
Just received and started: Scott Swain, The Trinity: An Introduction, Short Studies in Systematic Theology (Crossway)
Other:
Jim Baggott, Quantum Reality (OUP)
David P. Feldman, Chaos and Dynamical Systems (Princeton)
Sid Smith, In the Court of King Crimson (Panegyric)
Robert Wyatt and Alfie Benge, Side by Side: Selected Lyrics (Faber)
Mojo music magazine very month
That's Phil's Top Fifteen for 2020! The six IVP titles are available below - and you can find the others at your local bookshop or online.
