The IVP March 2023 Release

Our new release for March 2023 is the latest volume (The 61st - check out the full list here) in the New Studies in Biblical Theology (NSBT) series, 'Life in the Son: Exploring Participation and Union with Christ in John's Gospel and Letters', by Clive Bowsher.

This thoughtful, theological and practical study walks the reader through John's Gospel, and the short letters of 1, 2 and 3 John, focusing particularly on the theme of what it means to be one with Christ - the key to that enigmatic verse in John 10:10, 'I come that they may have life, and have it abundantly'.

Bowsher has penned a concise and clear study of the texts, laser focused on his context corpus but with helpful appendices on the Pauline epistles, Revelation, and on lexical matters. This is an ideal accompaniment to commentaries on John for the preacher, and an encouraging book on life in Christ for the interested reader.
