The IVP June 2022 Releases

After May's bumper crop of releases, June 2022 sees a trio of titles being published.

Following on from his brilliant book based in Ecclesiastes, 'Destiny' (published in the USA by Crossway as 'Living Life Backwards'), David Gibson is back with a powerful book for disciples of Jesus. 'Radically Whole: Gospel healing for the divided heart' which invites us, through the book of James, into a way of living that is whole and healthy, as the Gospel makes us so. Author and Bible Teacher Nancy Guthrie writes of this book that 'David Gibson ably applies the straight-talk wisdom of the book of James to the areas of our lives that need to become conformed to the gospel we believe and the Saviour we love'. You can order your copy now in both paperback and ebook.

Alan J. Thompson, Head of Department of New Testament at Sydney Missionary and Bible College has written the latest Tyndale New Testament Commentary, replacing a volume by N. T. Wright, on Colossians and Philemon. This new commentary offers a close reading of these two important epistles, as well as distilling the relevant scholarship, covering almost forty years since it's predecessor was published. You can order your copy now in both paperback and ebook.

Our final release for June 2022 is a little different. Edited by Tom Woolford and Adam Young, serving in different ways in Anglican Ministry, 'God's Church for God's World' draws together theological and practical reflections on the reality of the Church of England today. Publishing in time for the 2022 Lambeth Conference, it offers an honest window into ecclesial realities, as well a surprisingly encouraging 'state of the union' on evangelical Anglicanism's united potential. You can order your copy now in both paperback and ebook.

You can also find our new releases at bookshops off and online - so do pop in and ask if you are fortunate enough to have a good bookshop near you.
