The IVP June 2020 Releases

Our June releases demonstrate our commitment to publishing widely and deeply, with books on vital issues for the church, and fresh theological thinking.

There's been real excitement in the IVP offices (virtually, of course!) about Jonathan Lamb's latest book, Essentially One: Striving for the Unity God Loves. This book brings together biblical reflection, Jonathan's years of experience working for mission and unity organisations, and the pressing need for the church to show Jesus to the world. Essentially One will likely be a landmark text on this topic for years to come. You can order your copy now, and be among the first to receive it.

After last month's online launch event for the BST NIV Bible and the redesigned BST Volumes, we are delighted to be publishing the first new volume in the thematic series. The Message of Wisdom: Learning and Living The Way of The Lord by Daniel J. Estes traces the theme of wisdom through the Bible, showing us the consistent message of Scripture on this topic: the constant challenge to learn, live and love God's wisdom. You can find out more about this new BST and order your copy here.

Another important series for IVP is the Studies in Christian Doctrine and Scripture. Ike Miller's Seeing by the Light: Illumination in Augustine's and Barth's Readings of John is the latest entry in this academic set of explorations in contemporary theology. Seeing by the Light ponders carefully what it means to understand God's revelation to us, by a careful study of the theology of illumination, in conversation with two giants of Christian history. You can find out more and order your copy here.

Finally for June 2020, we are delighted that Healthy Faith and the Coronavirus Crisis is going to be made available in paperback! This rapid-response briefing for our new normal was published as an ebook in record time, and we've had a number of requests for a physical edition. At around 350 pages, this is a big book, and it's packed with practical advice and helpful perspectives from Scripture. We've heard of homegroups in New Zealand and missionaries elsewhere finding this useful - so if you haven't picked up the ebook yet, or your just prefer your books in physical form, then order your copy today!
