In 2009 the Evangelical Alliance (EA) released a resource called ‘The Missing Generation’. It found that between 1985 and 2005 the numbers of those in their 20s attending church on a Sunday more than halved. The report also found that reaching young adults was a top priority for 96 per cent of church leaders, but only 11 per cent felt well-resourced to do so.

In response to the challenge of reaching young adults, Pete has written A Place For God and Phil and the team at EA have released the online resource 7 Conversations. If 7 Conversations seeks to help churches and church leaders think through the way they can foster meaningful conversations where the gospel can be shared, A Place For God is a book that has that conversation with young adults around key issues.

In this City Lab, Phil and Pete will talk both about how we can be better at fostering these conversations with young adults and also what the issues that animate young adults are and how the gospel of Jesus Christ uniquely connects and engages with them. If you want to be in the conversation about engaging young adults with Christ, then this is the City Lab for you!

This event is organised by the London Project as part of their City Lab events series - please direct any enquiries to them.
